Though the consideration of a range of approaches this complex site BMA developed a number of possible masterplan options.

Each option probed possibilities for the site suggesting solutions for addressing the variable needs of a nearby park, canal, historic canal walls, adjacent listed building together with the needs of a new development itself in terms of density, layout, orientation, access and open space.

The resultant masterplan synthesised all of these concerns to create a viable development framework for the site.
