Angela Brady for RIBA President. Angela recevied over 195 nominations to run for RIBA president. Supporters include Chris Wilkinson, Jim Eyre, Piers Gough and Terry Farrell - with his recommendation;-

"I believe that as President, Angela will be a relevation. Purposeful, energetic, communicative and happy and comfortable on a "big stage", she champions small (but good) practices and has good experience in public affairs - in short, she is a natural for the job. 23-24 April 2010   Waterford Festival of Architecture
Angela Brady was a keynote speaker at the Waterford festival of architecture "Architecture and Community" and also gave a talk to teachers and architects to inspire architecture workshops in schools

Mastmaker Road has been published in the April edition of Architecture Today. The feature article, Hues and Views, written by Piers Gough describes how the project 'takes evident pleasure in providing a lovely looking, well worked out place to live.'

 

     
14 April 2010   The Phoenix Championship 8 team 5-a-side knock-out competition was held in the Community Centre designed by Brady Mallalieu Architects for the Mastmaker Road project to celebrate its completion. Hoare Lea emerged as winners.    
24 March 2010   Brady Mallalieu have won a planning appeal for a new detached house and gardens in Beckenham. The proposal is set within the grounds of an existing house and carefully integrates and develops the established garden landscape. The planning inspector noted that 'it is an imaginative, measured and well-conceived response to its context.'      
18 March 2010   Variety is the spice in high density London scheme:
The Irish Times publishes an article by Frank McDonald on the Mastmaker Road project describing it as 'an exemplar of intelligently designed, high density housing.'

Planning permission has been granted for 23 new homes at Otley House in Islington for Homes for Islington Redundant garage space has been converted into flats and two new houses have been added to mask blank gables and improve the relationship of the existing building to the street.

Our Mastmaker Road mixed tenure 200 homes in London Docklands for Ballymore was offically opened on 15th Dec 2009 by Sir Simon Milton Deputy London Mayor

The project has been shortlisted for the 2009 RTPI London Planning Awards as 'Best new place to live'


   
    Brady Mallalieu were granted planning permission in Dec 09 for two new social housing projects for Homes for Islington on Holland Walk and Mulkern Road.    
   

UKSH Emerson Green Specialist Hospital, was launched in Dec 2009 - Interior design, furniture, and artworks were designed by Brady Mallalieu. Art work in reception foyer by Angela Brady inspired by the music of Rory Gallagher "A Million Miles Away." Painted in acrylic the artwork measures 5m x 3 m and is made up from 15 panels of 1m x 1m.
