This
new build housing project for Community Housing Group in Stoke
Newington in Hackney comes in two parts:-
A four storey single ‘Infill’ house has been designed
to fit within the existing terrace gap on Allen Rd. The main
housing project consists of seven ‘mews’ style
terrace of L-shaped designed houses and flats on the disused
Brownfield site to the rear between two existing Victorian
terraces.
Great care has been taken to avoid overlooking - each house
has its main rooms oriented towards the afternoon sun and
away from the windows in properties surrounding the site.
The new houses are constructed to be as low as possible, particularly
along the northern edge at the rear of the gardens to Clonbrock
Road.
